Faster than the Turbo S coupe with 20 more hp and less weight..

yes, but that turbo s coupe was the prefacelift and as far as i know the 991.2 turbo had better tires then the 991.1, and also theres the 1:27.17 time for the 991.1 turbo s, so i think this time still stands

0.1 second difference over an entire lap between two exact cars which one is 50-100kgs lighter and has 20 more claimed hp isn't exactly a lot
And all of them are on base Pzeros
Maybe the newer Pzeros were more grippy?
jeremyclarkson1 3m ago @Lambolover
yes i believe the newer pzeros were grippier, check what DeDe said here https://fastestlaps.com/tests/zkbrvrnav545

991.2 Turbo S is 3 seconds quicker here
And I don't believe it's because new Pzeros are a bit grippier....
3 seconds is the difference between base Pzeros and almost Trofeo Rs

i doubt they'd cheat, i cant really think of another valid excuse, however i can point out the Laguna Seca times, the 991.1 Turbo S did a 1:35.62, the 991.2 Turbo S did a 1:33.21 and the 992 Turbo S did a 1:32.97, 2 tenths is barely anything so maybe the 991.2 was genuinely a monster

So how did it happen?
Same tires but newer: maybe 1 second difference
20 hp: 0.5 second difference at best
What else is different?

Porsche magic i guess! Or maybe it does produce more the 540 ps? Lots of possibilities
