Isn't it a little bit strange for those two cars to have such a small difference in performance times :)

As far as i remember 11.2s 0-100 is the time of the smaller 207 engine, which is 1.4 litres and has approx. 90-95hp, i am not sure of the exact figures.

Torque doesn't matter very much when you dragrace two cars from 0 km/h start. It matters when you have to outrun another car lets say from 50 km/h to 120 km/h and that you can feel the torque difference, especially on lower gears. Take for example bmw's 320i (170hp) and 320d (163 or 177hp), They have basically the same times 0-100km/h and 0-1000m, almost the same horsepower and almost the same weight, even though the 320d has almost twice the newtonmeters of the petrol engine... I am not sure if what i say is right, but that is how i think and you can always prove me wrong. And one more thing - this 207 does 0-100kph in 9.6sec and that is claimed by the manufacturer. I am sure about it cause I almost bought this car couple of years ago, and i looked at the technical specs sheet from the local dealer.

0-100 in 11.2?? that\'s slow..the golf mk5 tdi does it with more weight and only 105 hp
