That is true,well,it's not that they are bad,actually the fact that they've survived for so long tells about how good they have been so far and they still are.
But I believe that electrical engines due to simplicity,very high and all-rev torque,ability to consume and generate energy etc,are much better machines and it's just a matter of time when the battery technology will be sufficient for these engines to fully live up in transport,although they are,as you said,as old as int.comb. engines.
That's my opinion,and remember i'm still a petrolhead...

This will be a great car. I think I will miss reading about that naturally aspirated V12.
