Imagine how fast the XJ220 would be if they gave it the Carrera GT treatment. We're probably talking 7:2x here.

A McLaren F1 is a 7:4x (maybe 7:3x) car. This one is more like an 8:0x car. I know because the Ruf CTR YB is in that range also. This isn't a very agile car, nor were most supercars in the '90s. A Ferrari F50 and a Bugatti EB110SS (both high 7:5x – low 8:0x cars) will beat it on most tracks, too, because they are more agile than the XJ220, even if they are slightly slower from a rolling start.
If EB110SS ran a lap on this track in 8:01, then F50 should be an 8-flatter or 7:59er. This one will be lucky to do better than 8:02-8:03 in my opinion.
2000s supercars (excluding hypercars and Porsche "GT" models):
Lexus LFA, 7:38. (Came out in 2010, but still not much faster than a 2000s supercar.)
Porsche 911 997.1 Turbo, 7:38.
Chevrolet Corvette C6, 7:38 (both the Z06 and ZR1 versions).
Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 SL, 7:38. (Came out in 2010, but still not much faster than a 2000s supercar.)
Ferrari 430 Scuderia, 7:39.
Lamborghini Murciélago LP640, 7:40.
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren and SLS AMG, 7:40.
Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, 7:47.
Lamborghini Murciélago LP580, 7:50.
Lamborghini Gallardo, 7:52 (both the LP500 and LP560 versions).
Ferrari F430, 7:52.
Ford GT, 7:52.
Porsche 911 996.2 Turbo, 7:56.
Ferrari Challenge Stradale, 7:56.
Lamborghini Diablo GT, 8:01.
Ferrari 575M Maranello, 8:05.

Although not officially a supercar, the C6 Corvette base model did it in 7:59. (Also, not counting the Skyline GT-R R33 and R34 test mule prototypes either.)
Diablo GT ran the Nring in 8:04, not 8:01. I stand corrected.

Was listed as fastest 'production' car time for a number of years, one of a few faster than 8 minutes.

The car was also fastest production car in top speed. But not "for years". The pesky McLaren F1 took that title.
