488 does 0-200 in 8.0, and 650S does it in 8.7. Totally! But look at the more powerful 6***T (censored comedically): 666 hp! Or in Europe, 675. @phavyarden

After watching the 650s race hand to hand, and being faster at high speeds, i believe that the 488 will probably beat this on straight line.

0-60Mph 2.9s(Claimed 3.2s 0-60mph)
0-100Mph 6.0s(Claimed Under 7s)
Top Speed 214Mph
1/4 Mile 10.6@138.02Mph
As for 0-200kph, Claimed 8.5, It pases at 138Mph in 10.6s, So 8.5 is right on the money, Who actually cares if its a few tenths off or faster? Would you even be able to notice? I also dont think the 488 is gonna be much faster if any faster.

0:12-0:16 = ~ 4 sec from 0-100 kph
0:12-0:21 = ~ 9 sec from 0-200 kph
0:12-0:34 = ~ 22 sec from 0-300 kph
0:12-0:40 = ~ 28 sec from 0-320 kph
Lambo LP610-4

0:25-0:28 = ~ 3 sec from 0-101 kph
0:25-0:34 = ~ 9 sec from 0-200 kph
0:25-0:48 = ~ 23 sec from 0-300 kph
0:25-0:56 = ~ 31 sec from 0-320 kph
Overall, comparing the videos, Ferrari is king! I like both of these cars, though.

The F12 is fast, but it's actually much fatter than what Ferrari says, and it's obvious that they are trying to protect the F12's reputation. When they asked the Ferrari test driver if the 488 was faster than the F12. The guy was like a bad liar and was like... well... about as fast maybe. come on just give this car a break.

@Br2 F12 has proven to be able to do 0-200 km/h in ~11s in real life. But it is a bad result for that car.
From the other side it is a GT car and it is as fast as modern Aston Martins with V12 engines.
Look at that :
Aventadors 1000m trap speed is 273 km/h (time is 19,37s). Great result.
And tell me how the hell is that possiblethat F12 which has better gearbox, RWD (which is better for high speed acceleration) and on paper 40 hp more is doing 260 km/h ? There are a few movies where F12 performs on that level. Drivers skills or there is only one another explanation...You all know what.
It realy seems that in terms of performance Ferrari cars are beaten by Porsches 911 Turbo, Mclarens and Lamborghinis...

How is the Lambo even in straight line, like, I mean I understand the 10.4s 1/4 mile time, but that's because it's AWD. Also, there's no way the Ferrari does 189 in the 1/2 mile (even if it's just an estimate) because apparently the faster LaFerrari does 188.

F12 is ceternly faster that the fastest 599. I don't know if at he track can't out perform the GT0 so easily, it would depend of the driver. :)

I dont understand one thing...In general people who have driven or own F12 say that it is a super fast car...I have even read (propably on Fchat) that owner said that F12 is only slightly slower from 100-300 km/h than 650s.
But there are so many movies where F12 performs on Ferrari 599's level that it is a weird situation.
phavyarden 10y ago
F12 is super fast, but is not a car that you'll bring to compete against AWD, or the new Turbo powered Mclarens at a drag race.

This is what F12 is all about. :)

That is why F12 is so slow from the standing start.
I wonder whether or when we will see stock Ferrari car that can do 0-200 km/h in less than 10s and 1/4 mile in less than 11s.
Im a Ferrari fan and fan of (super)sport cars in general...but im sick of seeing that kind of movies where Fcars perform on such a low levels.
In that movie F12 did 0-260 km/h in 20,7s. It means 0-300 km/h in about 32-34s. It is a result on the level of 458 Italia.
phavyarden 10y ago
Why would you be dissapointed of it's launch start?
Is quite heavy car with mounstrous power pushing only the rear tires.
dddd 10y ago
So here we go again...Another movie that shows that F12 has realy disappointing straight line acceleration from the standing start.
F12 seems to be much better from the rolling start. But from the standing start it is horrid.
1000m trap speed also is crappy.
I dont know what is wrong with this car ?
Is it down on power (~ 80-100 hp less) ?
Does it have huge drivetrain losses ? Bad traction ?
From the standing start F12 will be slower even than 997 Turbo.
