I havent seen that drag race but i wouldnt take take it seriously.
600 hp Mp4-12c shouldnt be much quicker than Gt2 RS especially when we talk about rolling drag race.

F355,
do you have a link to GT2RS's video proof of the 7:18 at nurburgring? thank you.
The only proof i could find was horst/sportauto's 7:24. You know horst drives the porsches as fast or faster than porsche manufacture too.

I agree. Something should be done because at the moment things are completely misrepresentative.
The 458 comparo still brings up the 1:01.6 for Anglesey National even though it was never even a correct time last year.
To keep things simple we could always just quote the best time but if we're going to try and stick with the lost cause of trying to select 'fairer' comparable data (if there's such a thing), then we at least need to do it right.
As regards the above:
The GT2 RS runs semi-slicks (MPSCs), therefore the semi-slick time of 1:19.6 should be quoted for the MP4 at Bedford.
Two ways of doing this. Either remove the 7:18 for the GT2 RS and quote the 7:24 achieved by Sport Auto, or quote the 1:27.5 achieved by the MP4 at Rockingham by the McLaren test driver. What you can't do is select Porsche's best times and compare them with McLaren's worst times across the board. It's already gained enough of an advanatge by the fact that Sport Auto has a huge hard-on for 911s.
The scores should be more or less level, with the MP4 leading by 0.3s on Bedford and 1.27s on Rockingham.

The GT2 RS runs MPSCs, so why isn't the MP4 Corsa time at Bedford quoted? This is a misrepresentation of facts. We're also happy to quote Sport Auto and manufacturer times for the GT2 RS, but not manufacturer times for the MP4, like the 1:27.5 at Rockingham. Yet we see the completely unverified 7:18 standing there for the GT2 RS bold as brass.
I think you are right.
I don't know how the comparo button is working. Seems it gets used the slowest time everytime (the mp4 1:27,5 lap at rockingham is stored as well)
Should be the contrary.I suggest to mark factory claim and introduce an optional button to eventually not used them in a comparo. Yuhuu Fastestlaps ??

Mc laren is a proper supercar. It will lap circuits far faster than the porsche and every other supercar which is amazing. Nothing else can touch it! It is the only supercar I could spend my money on.

These are speculative specs for the MP4-12C, so I do not see how the verdict can be conclusive until the production vehicle is launched and tested by various industry constituents.
