There are two things in play here
1 gearbox
2 claimed figures
I don't think there is any way for a road legal V12 supercar to weigh 1205 kgs curb

the aventador has a single clutch gearbox as does the zonda. the Lambos gearbox isn't any faster than the Zonda's. The Zonda's curb weight is under 1300 kgs which means that it is literally impossible for the aventador to be faster unless Pagani is lying about the specs of their car. This race is equivalent to putting a bugatti veyron up against a koenigsegg Agera R or one:1

Only way for Aventador to be "faster" is with that shorter gearing sequential trans
Aventador does 45 mph in 1st gear, 65 in 2nd, 90 in 3rd, 130 in 4th, 170 in 5th, 210 in 6th, 220 in 7th. All at 8750 rpm.
Zonda does 65 mph in 1st gear, 95 in 2nd, 125 in 3rd, 150 in 4th, 190 in 5th, and 217 in 6th. All at 7100 rpm.
