I think this comparison isn't exactly fair for the Ford. The Ford GT was built for endurance. The ZR1 wouldn't last nearly as long in a 24 hour race. If they werent concerned about Daytona or LeMans, the GT could've made an extra 200 horsepower, and this comparison would be very different.

So, what endurance race has the Ford won? And don't say 60 years ago they beat Ferrari. That was 60 uears ago

Dude that's total cap. Le Mans is definitely a huge priority for Ford, but ultimately they wanted to make a Halo Car.
And Chevy's small block V8s are legendarily the most reliable V8s ever made, especially for the power they put down.
People routinely buy Chevy truck motors from scrap yards for $500, clean them up, pair them with a beefy fuel system and cooling, and turbo charge them to 800+ horsepower, bone stock. LS motors, specifically.

Ford GT price $450,000. Corvette ZR1 $125,000. The Vette is quicker and faster. Better brakes. Fastest on the tracks.
