Yaspaa: South Africa had the Sierra XR6 with the Essex 3.0-litre V6

They only made 250 of them and all were 5-door shells. It was some South African homologation thing, they had to build 200 minimum. I'm still trying to find out if they used the Windsor 302 or the Aussie Cleveland 302. =;-)X

This was only available in South Africa. The XR4 as it was known over there had a 3.0 essex engine.

Well Georg, you've got one right for once 243 lb/ft is right. However there has been more than one XR8, one of which had less power but maybe more torque.
LJUTICA, It's a lazy V8 which probably explains the relatively low torque figure for a V8.

torque number corrected

One more thing Yaspaa, just like on that XR4i, I believe torque numbers are wrong on this one too, 5 litre V8 definitely develops more that that.
All in all, great additions, thanks for so many great (unfortunately forgotten) Fords.

What is this,I never heard of it, and now i'm sad I didn't.It should be a beast for burnouts and drift.
I wouldn't be so sure about open road handling.
