That leaves the question, if this is true, when are they going to use the new 4.0L V8? For the next gen that's coming in 2016?
Initial impressions are: blisteringly quick once moving, rubbish auto gearbox, more understeer than I expected, great sound and a real head turner (or maybe thats because I'm driving with the roof down in freezing weather?).....

It might have the performance.. but the R8 is one of the most ugly cars out there in my opinion. Semi-trucks have better looking front ends. Such a nice interior wrapped in such a ugly shell...
Whats with all the car makers going with these unpainted front ends anyway? Big chunks of unpainted black looks cheap and unfinished.

i think i would buy a Porsche instead of this if i had that much money........the 380 hp PDK Carrera humuliated the R8 V8,and the PDK Turbo was faster than R8V10..m5board races...
