OK fair enough.... so we've gone round in a circle back to the car only having 375bhp and therefore not having a snowballs chance in hell of hitting 200mph. Does anyone know the real VMax for the 375bhp version?

The 7.2 liters "simple" engine has 375 HP, the 7.0 HEMI engine has 425 HP.
According to http://www.allpar.com/model/superbird.html :
"The Daytona's rear wheels tended to lose their traction, until that massive spoiler was put on, because it carried a standard 440 cubic inch, 375-hp engine, and air would flow under the car and lift it. The optional powerplant was the fabled 426 Hemi, a 425-hp (plus) monster designed for racing."

The 200mph was done by a race car not one of the 505 produced homoligation street models....

I had already changed the power but another admin has changed it again..... the 7.2 is 425bhp

Wads! Please correct the displacement! The 426 cui (7 liters) engine has 425 HP, the 440 cui (7,2 liters) has 375 HP. Thanks!

no way that was stock when it did that speed, no way.

The power for the 7.2 was actually 425bhp (I've updated it) and I was also sceptical about the 199mph top speed but the 425bhp model did set a speed record at Talladega driven by Buddy Baker who broke 200mph

The Daytona is basically the same as the Plymouth Superbird:

Yeah 199mph is believable..lol

The power is 280kw/375HP/381PS

In my opinion it can't do 321 km/h. 375HP isn't enough to do 321km/h.

Has this car been on here before?
