it was clearly visible in a outside video shoot about the 1:09 lap that the car was running on slicks...
I pointed that out and Wads did find the statment that the car realy was using slicks..

Is there any actuall proof that id did that TG time on slicks? besides what Wads said? anyy rpoof?

What i find amazing, is in that article he posted, said they could get in the region of 6:30s!!! dont think i believe that fast, but id still like too see them try.

Dunlop slicks were fitted. Front size-235/640/18 Rear size-340/660/18
(The Ferrari FXX driven by Schumacher also had slicks fitted)

Anti-roll bars were fitted- These are now a "factory fit" only option in conjunction with the rose jointed wishbones option

Ride height was standard. 110mm front. 160mm rear

Front negative camber was 2.0 degrees

Rear negative camber was 1.2 degrees

Rear toe was 2mm overall

Tyre pressures hot were front 24psi rear 31psi

Dampers were all set at 40 clicks (Intrax)

Road springs were 25% stiffer which are an option

Standard Porsche G50-03 transaxle”

Not that I want to get in the middle of this argument, but it does say at the bottom of this page that it was independantly verified by official Guinness book of world records timekeepers that it was done on road tyres.

@Georg No mention of that on Ultima's site. They just say "a more track biased setup" and that unlike the FXX it was road legal and it was driven home afterwards.

@Liam the 1:09min time was done on slicks not road tires..

It went back to teh top gear test track and ran a 1:09.90

I saw two of these doing laps at the Knockhill circuit, Scotland. Firstly, they are SOOO loud, the engine noises almost burst your eardrums.
Secondly, it was passing Murcielagos, Ferrari's and all the other 'supercars' like they still had their handbrakes on.
This is a fast fast car.

They don't like you calling it a kit car, Ultima like to say 'self build supercar'

They produce about 80 cars per year only about 10 of which leave the factory fully assembled the other 70 are built by the customers.

I wouldn't want to buy one of these second hand - imagine driving at 230mph in a car built by an amateur in his shed.

I think they sell this car so you can build it yourself?

Correct me if I'm wrong (I probley am) but I thought it holds all of the world records for the fastest accelerating and braking production car.

0-60mph - 2.6secs
0-100mph - 5.3secs
0-100-0mph - 9.4secs
100-0mph - 3.6secs
Standing 1/4mile - 9.9secs

If this holds all the world records for accereration how come the Veyrons 0-100km/h is 2.5 where this is 'only' 2.6 secs?

Again, those are the stats for the 640 (See Ultima GTR 640 Page) this (Im sure you All know) is the 720, which is faster, so please change the stats.

It has a 412Cid 6.8L Naturally Aspirated V8, not Turbo, Not SuperCharged, Not TwinCharged, not Diesel, Not Hybrid, not SuperTurbo,the GTR 720 Is Naturally Aspirated, 720bhp and 630lb ft.

I've just uploaded some new pictures from the Ultima web site. The one with the white dials on a black dashboard in the red car is the standard dashboard in a factory built GTR720.

p.s. Fastest Laps could you please delete the top 3 dashboard pictures because they look like amateur built kit cars and do not reflect the quality that a factory built Ultima has.

But we're only talking about 720 street legal HP. I was just showing (in response to Pedro) that 720 naturally aspirated HP is easily possible with a Chevy small block.
