@Goerg where that 10.8s 1/4 mile come from?? if that's true and i know it is then think what the turbo S is capable of!

The 10.8s was tested by south african "cars in action" magazine
At coast level they reached 10.8s and at the high altidude of the reef still 11.1s

nordschleife is just marketing its absolutely impossible that a nissan gtr can beat a porsche 997 turbo facelift this lap times are bullshit and don´t say anything true about the cars if you wanna know which is the fastest you have to drive for your self this two rockets.

A 120K ZR1 easily CRUSHES a 165K 911 PDK Turbo!!!

I'd actually complain a little if I got either one from a relative, because they know I want a Viper haha.

I'd be fine with either one as my second car though lol.

Apparently that Anonymous is a 12 year old boy. Somehow, that wouldn't surprise me.

What is a 12 year old fanboy?

none of you would complain even to a bicycle

“And yes, the ZR1's interior is rubbish. ;) Its biggest issue is those horrible seats. ”

Nah,the Chevy Cobalt steering wheel is the biggest issue...hehe (j/k)

I'll never understand the way some people can be so insulting to one great car in order to praise another great car.

They are both amazing vehicles that go about their business in a very different way. None of you would complain if a rich uncle bought either car and gave it to you.

I don't believe in man made global warming.---Neither do any governments! It's bullshit designed to take tax dollars off you.

more fuel consumption = more co2 emission = government happy & u mad

High fuel price= less traffic getting in your way!

rich buyers as much as they don't give a shit about fuel consumption they don't give 2 shits about the price either because fuel consumption = a price to pay

Fuel consumption: Dead right!
I don't think anyone cares about fuel consumption when they are buying a +100K sports car. Are you kidding? Rich buyers do not care about fuel consumption nor are they driving these cars much at all maybe on the weekends. This is another one of those "GTR is better" because it has better fuel consumption(+1mpg), has 4 seats, and drives better in the snow. None of this matters in the real world when buying a ZR1 or 911 turbo, but may matter to some keyboard warriors! LOL!

grand's you can save from Fuel alone that's a fact and this is a car we're talking about not a GPU were the performance/price ratio is extremely important.

@ anonymous; In Europe Porsche has massive prestige, the ZR1 does not. I would pay the extra for this. porsche know how to price their cars in the states and I suspect the prestige earns them the extra $40k.

The base MSRP for a ZR1 is 106K and less than 120K fully loaded/off the lot. the base MSRP for a 997.2 turbo pdk is 135K and 165K fully loaded/off the lot. A +40K difference is a reality.

Since most of the 997.2 and almost all ZR1's(99%) are sold in the US, i don't see why we need to talk about prices outside of America where it counts. Besides, german cars are cheaper in America than they are in europe for the most part.

European cars are better built than American cars---It may not matter to Americans but it matters to Europeans. It doesn't matter how fast a ZR1 is----it's not good eneugh for Europe, not when we have Porsches!
