You're right! It's a conspiracy! Or maybe, just maybe, 650bhp in a car weighing 1250Kg with an awesome chassis is enough to get it near the top of the board?

At last a car close to the mclaren f1 in concept,amazing looks(imo)amazing performance and low weight,give central driving poss and better interior and its perfect.

Despite being 7 years old the Enzo is still a £500,000 car which buys it a much stiffer carbon fibre tub and chassis where the Noble makes do with tubular steel. The Enzo's 650bhp from a naturally aspirated 6 litre engine is as impressive today as it was 7 years ago and doesn't have any lag like the Nobel. The Enzo also has plenty of electronic wizardry to help and more importantly has ABS.

By comparison the Nobel is a relatively cheap and simple car but the designer Lee Nobel has a reputation for designing cars with some of the best chassis/suspension in the world. Also the turbocharged engine has a lot more torque and weighs almost 100kg, less that will make a big difference. I bet the biggest difference in performance though, is because of the improvements in tyre tech over the last 7 years.

p.s. Did you know that Lee Nobel also designed the Ultima kit car?

1. the Ferrari tested was privat owned... Stig was most likely much more carefull with it.

my god 1.5 seconds faster than enzo on topgear track.mm same weight almost,and same hp,i wonder why that happened!!can any one explain this objectively please :-),btw i am a ferrari fan,i love the enzo but the noble reminds me of mclaren f1, i really like these cars which have very limited drivind aids or no aids at all,very involving to the driver

No it wasn't about the rims at all. I watched the Top Gear laptime being set on 20/12/09 minutes later I posted the laptime on fast laps then that moron said it hadn't even been broadcast! lol! What an idiot!

Seen the advertising for the Noble in the DuPont registry magazine. Its amazing how most people talk about Porsche or Lamborghini but not cars like this. Is that because we never see one????

Where yo expecting anything les? it is a Noble after all, damn near the best handling car in the world, and its light and has loads of power and torque.
