It has not run a 7:25 so people need to stop spreading internet rumors. The facts are what they are and crying about it doesn't help. I have never bought tht time on the Ring by the GTR and neither has most people. It has never been duplicated by anyone and the ZR1 beats the GTR on most other tracks around the world by several seconds, but on the longest track when it clearly is faster everywhere, it is that close? Makes no logical sense at all.

Hell no, the average customer isnt paying no 152k for a ZR1, your full of shit. and that 7:25 or whatever hasnt happened.

The Spec-V has unofficially lapped the ring @ 7:25 and at 7:20.
It's certainly a faster car than the ZR1, but slower than the GT2RS, Gumpert Apollo Speed, and probably slower than the 599 GTO as well. The other thing is that it would actually sell for less than the ZR1 in the US if it were sold in the US.
Here's what Kelley Bluebook says are the REAL(not MSRP) prices the average consumer is paying for these cars.

911 Turbo $133,750,

ZR1 $152,782,

GTR $85,880,

Viper SRT-10 $96,681

Even the Spec-V would sell for less than the ZR1 if it were ever sold in the US becuase even a 370Z Nismo costs tons less in the US than in Japan.

Source is right here.

It is probably the most impresive time ever(Maybe) but figure the base GT-R does an 11.5 at 125mph, .5s off isnt that hard to believe, great traction, great tyres, fast dual clutch, but 170k is definetly PUSHING it! Japanese Supercars sure are expensive though.

i love this car, and for that ongoing war against the zr1, i would rather have this gt-r. no offence, and i do think the zr1 is an excellent piece of car (but very very sideways) but even i struggle with the idea of 11.0 quarter mile. the power to weight is still very poor. yes, the gt-r has a smart awd system, and transmission. but 11.0 is very quick. where is the source for that time btw?

zr1 is crap...

I want someone to smoke comments like that.

ZR1 SMOKES SPEC V!!!!

the zr1 beats this in performance. as a daily driver the gt-r wins, its personally i like the gt-r because of quality, comfort, and performance.

"the ZR1 still wins, sorry :( "

Haha, dream on kid.

Nissan didn't release a time for the spec v because it couldn't beat 7:26.4
3 months ago
That doesn't make sense.

I think that the Spec-V is probably a 7:22.x or 7:23 second car at the ring. They probably lost to the ACR by a hair and that's why they enver released the real time.

if you ask me the car is hype. If the car is so fast how come there are no laptimes for it. I think the base GTr is faster and it is cheaper. Nissan is just to embarssed the there ZR1 beater does not match up to people expectations

the fact of thematter is that the gtr spec-v is slower around the track than the base line gtr. how is this possible when its specs contradict this? this must mean that the drivers cheated in some way, or the times are flipped. either way, believe what you want.

For a car with so much hype, you sure dont see alot of tests for this thing. btw that pic is of the base, not the V, maybe use that red pic down there?
lol! yeah i know, got a bit carried away there. bit irritated at some of the comments so apologies to those offended. im no nissan supporter, just someone who likes a good car

Interesting name you have there, do i get a turn? lol and yes, styling likes is a personal preference, but no need to be so harsh now is there?
i think the specV is great, but the standard gt-r is more value for money. to lk101010 (is that how many times you jerked off to your mother's underwear?) styling is your own personal preference, but it's definitely not beautiful in the classical sense of the word. but it looks cool! for what its worth nobody can deny the impact this car has had and it still continues to have
