For a car with so much hype, you sure dont see alot of tests for this thing. btw that pic is of the base, not the V, maybe use that red pic down there?
lol! yeah i know, got a bit carried away there. bit irritated at some of the comments so apologies to those offended. im no nissan supporter, just someone who likes a good car

Interesting name you have there, do i get a turn? lol and yes, styling likes is a personal preference, but no need to be so harsh now is there?
i think the specV is great, but the standard gt-r is more value for money. to lk101010 (is that how many times you jerked off to your mother's underwear?) styling is your own personal preference, but it's definitely not beautiful in the classical sense of the word. but it looks cool! for what its worth nobody can deny the impact this car has had and it still continues to have

"and they made it uglyer!! "
It was ugly already!

Yes it is, and 0-100mph/0-160kmh is done in 7.2 by Road&Track and MT, and that up there is a pic of the GT-R Non SpecV.

Still an impressive machine.

the officel europen/UK pricing is published..
£124,900 for the V-Spec...
woow thats extrem expansive...
£25,000 more than a R8 V10, GT3 RS and new 997Turbo...a ZR1 is still £18,000 less
Pretty sure that is the real price of the GTR... clearly that Nissan sell the basic GTR for marketing reason way under price..

Ya i am really sure the Offical time for this car would be done by someone other than a pro.

I dont really believe lap times done by manufacturers. When it comes to Ring lap times I look for tests done by sport auto. Horst Von Saruma knows the ring well so if hes around 10 sec off manufacture times then there is something suspicious going on. But still 7:34 is a quick time.

To the people arguing the Spec V time of 7:34 on the Nurb that was a journalist from best Motoring not Toshio driving but a none GTR pro driver just a journalist!

@E, there is no information about any significant whether difference, so I suspect that since Spec-V is overall faster car than stock GT-R, something had to be wrong with Suzuki's GT-R. Actually, Horst von Saurma, who drives most of cars listed in Ring's times, lapped Ring in GT-R (Dunlop tires) in 7:38. Taking this time into consideration is pretty good way to measure GT-R performance in competition with other cars. To derive a little bit more moderate conclusion, I would say that eighter GT-R is not as fast as 7:26, or most of cars in Toshio Suzuki's hand will have much better lap times on Ring than they actually have.

Tyres have a HUGE effect on the 1/4 mile times, see what the difference in time were to be if u equipped a Mini Coopers S with runflats, than the next run you equipped them with semi slicks, n see how much time is taken off. and 0-60 and 0-100 times are part of the 1/4 mile time..

I'm talking about 1/4 mile times, not 0-60, 0-100 or 0-124. I agree with tires, but that's a lot of time to cut with tires and aerodynamics. And yes they have better transmission, power and weight. I'm done here

No your wron. the F430 does a 0-60mph time of 3.7 (MotorTrend) the Scuderia does it in 3.1 (MotorTrend) n thats a .6s difference, the GT-R 1/4 mile time is 11.5 at 125mph (Car&Driver) this one does it in 11.0, the F430 has also ben timed at 0-100mph in 7.9, and Scuderia at 7.1, (MoptorTrend) and thats a .8s difference, same with the GT-R's 7.7 for the Base, n 7.2 for the SpecV (Car&Driver & Road&Track),and have you forgotten on both cars theres just not a faster transmssion shift and less weight along with a lil more power,they both have Much better tyres with Much more grip, you would have noticed if you did a little research. so the tyres also reduces the time, and also both cars have better aerodynamics. so its not a claim, YOUR just claiming.

Nobody will follow Edmunds period. All the magazines did their own tests when the stock GTR first came out and it seemed it was always 3.2 or 3.5 o-100 so which magazine is full of it??
4 months ago
I saw the video... It's a claim not a result of a test. I really doubt a decrease of 0.6 sec with only a reduction of some weight and a slightly improvement in torque, power and gear. Ferrari scuderia reduced 0.4 sec with 20hp more, 48kg less and super fast gearbox. Nissan claims it with 5hp more, 60kg less and slightly improvement in gearbox. I'm not saying it's impossible, I just doubt the claim

Its in the channel, and thats all u need. like i said. prove them wrong.

Proove they are right!

Proove them wrong.

The gtchannel only says it does in 11 sec th 1/4 mile. Doesn't show any proof. It's like more a claim than a real test.
4 months ago
If you guys bothered to look, bumrush has provided evidance of its straightline speed on page 7 from the gtchannel, it shows 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, and thats proof. it doesnt show however the 0-100 or 0-124 time, which is obviosly not correct. i mean cmon people, really.

Or the lap difference could just be because the GT-R ran on a better day that the V-Spec.

ok, I digged and I found fallowing:
According to Edmunds Inside Line, we have:
1/4 mile in 11,5 sec. at 124,2 mph;
0 - 60 mph in 3.7 sec without roll out;
