They should have changed more than 5th gear, but seeing as that's it's top speed
gear, it should make a difference on high speed tracks. Laguna Seca edition
coming soon. Hopefully with more performance.
Well, it looks like the only treads on the ACR's Pilot Sport Cups are on the
insides of the tires. You're need a low back shot or shot of the front wheels
turned out quite a ways to see (or not see) the treads. I did notice writing on
the sidewalls though, so that's a good sign.
ok then now that they've updated the ACR i'm really starting to hope that it
will get regognitiion outside the us i mean come to think about it not many
supercars from the us have ever gotton that much regognition out side the us
their are a few expeptions like the zr1,z06 and ford gt but seriously i have
never heard of any magazine outside the us exept top gear mag ever talk about
the ACR in any area its like th whole car media outside the US is just being
ignorant towards the ACR cause no ones expeting a track beast that kills nearly
evrything to come out of the US i mean cars like the ACR are just one of those
cars to make all them bias idiots take back all those BS bias facts they made up
about american cars and one of the other main reasons of why i want this car to
have so much regognition outside the us is because i want the ACR to hopefully
be tested by non us mags on tracks outside the us other than nurburgring and if
the ACR did break the records on alot of euro tracks it would shut those bias
homos up and chrysler will obviously test the new ACR on the nurburgring and i
would estimate this new ACR to go round nurburgring some were between 7.10 and
7.20
3380 lbs is the HC weight. Viper SRT-10 weight is 3460 - 40 = ACR = 3420 - 40 =
ACR HC = 3380.
Updates are shortened fifth gear, short throw shifter, and lower drag (but same
downfroce) rear wing. Top speed is up to 184 mph I think, while acceleration is
also improved.
This edition is called the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR 133 LS. 133 for 1:33s It has
lapped the California Track, and LS for Mazda's RaceWay Laguna Seca, besides all
that Revised stuff, it gets a new paint job, and a couple new gauges in the
interior, other than that, is da same.
Viper is a well established and widely recognized and respected brand. Why would
anyone get rid of it? Owners might change but the Viper nameplate won't
disappear.
I've read that a new Viper is on the way. There may be a 1 year gap (1 year
without any Viper at all) but the following year, the new model will be
released.
I've been wondering about the Viper, I noticed http://www.fueleconomy.gov
doesn't have the Viper listed for 2010, maybe they're just late getting it
certified.
I've read that they are still supposed to be producing them, but if you try to
find a 2010 Viper through cars.com or autotrader.com or the fueleconomy.gov site
there are no 2010's anywhere, even if you go to dodge.com and try to build your
own car it doesn't give you the choice of a 2010, only a 2009. Most auto makers
should have the 2010 models out by now I would think
