I still remember fondly how great they looked brand new on a Lincoln-Mercury car lot back in 1972. The sticker price on the windows was around $10,000 in U.S. currency. Mustang Mach 1s were selling for about $4,500 and Corvettes for a bit over $5,000 at the time. Panteras were one of the few exotic mid-engine cars that I was able to see in person in the 1970s.
