Because they are under a question mark. Until we (administrators) or anyone else
finds reference for them.

Actually this car is very important for Fastestlaps.com, because it has a
potencial to compete with Radical SR8. It is likely to see a "Road and Track"
track test for this car very soon.

| Can't wait to see Top gear test this bad boy out.
And i really want someone to run a Ring lap in his....Sabine maybe, to give that
radical some bloody sub 7 minute competition...

Top Gear lap posted..... as expected it beat the previous TG record and even the
recent attempt by Ultima.
Amazingly quick BUT they didn't like it at all..... it understeers really badly
in slow corners and is virtually undrivable on the road.

| The handling issues on the Caparo T1 during that road test may have something to
do with its aerodynamic setup and the greasy track.

| it'sa real racing car - almost like an f1 car, the aerodynamics need to be
changed for each track, if they are slightly out a lot ofperformance is lost, on
f1 cars they change setups loads for eachtrack

@amdbs - It certainly has to do something with the weight as well because if car
is so lightweight it will not have as much grip in very slow corners as heavier
cars. When the wind isn't pushing it there is almost no down force at all other
than those tiny 470 kg. In the same time, however, because of such a tiny mass
it won't have as much inertia when changing direction.

I am not surprised at all that Caparo set the new record and by such a large
margin. It is probably the fastest road legal car you can buy and the only thing
that could compete with it on race track is Radical SR8.

| FastestLaps, you're right but I do wonder whether those handling issues could be
fix if the Caparo T1 was set-up for maximum down force even though it will
reduce its top speed from 205 to 187 mph. BTW, 470 kg is its dry weight and 550
kg is its curb/kerb weight.

| Low weight causing less grip? That doesn't make sense. Lighter mass is better at
any speed. Tire grip is partially dependent on weight per mass, in other words,
downward acceleration, which is roughly equal everywhere on Earth's surface
without aero downforce. The power/weight ratio would be problem if the gas pedal
is used too often, but the low mass of the car should not cause any adverse
effects.

there are several cars able to competition this car..
Radical SR8
Donkervoort D8 R06
LeBlance Mirabeau
etc etc..
unfortunatily they never made it to BBC topgear were they becaome international
well known..
The Donkervoort D8 G06 has beaten the shit out of all supercars at the
Hockenheim shorttrack.. but there the differents isn“t as big as at topgear
because they clock flying lap not standing starts were such light rockets can
get full advantage of their extrem acceleration.. on the other hand this kind of
cars are completly worthless at the street..no one takes a Radical to go
shopping..

| This thing is more like a friggin go-kart than a car lol Just coz a "go-kart" is
road-legal doesn't mean it should be treated like any ordinary car. It's
obviously not an ordinary car.
