2009 Audi R8 V10 5.2 FSI

R8 V8 got pawned BADDDD by Carrera 2 S PDK ..it's a race on m5board..and PDK TUrbo is way faster than Carrera PDK..is that really that big difference between R8 V8 and V10? i want to see a dragrace between them..

Expensive yes, overated definetly not, and where did you get 200k from? even with all the most expensive options your not going over 176k, and why would you compare a bike to a car, to totally different vehicles, Turbo and Carrea S, Or R8 V8 and R8 V10...Yeah,..i think ill go with the 8's..

@golf3diesel: at the TopGear comparison the R8 v10 and 997 turbo mk2 were almost identical in performance and in the hands of the Stig. A carrera wouldn't even stay close..

expensive overrated crap..i know it's a good car,comfortable,fast etc but too expensive for what it can...it may be stupid to compare but why spending 200k for R8 V10 with optionals if you can spend 3k and get a 600cc sportbike capable of 10-11 seconds to 200 kmh...
i think i would buy a Porsche instead of this if i had that much money........the 380 hp PDK Carrera humuliated the R8 V8,and the PDK Turbo was faster than R8V10..m5board races...

One of my favorite Sportscars. Not only is it fast, it is a great ride on (almost) all roads as well. I was really surprised at how comfortable this is. Properly great car this one. Too bad I can't afford one. But you can rent them for a day or two and have a little fun on the Autobahn. (Don't say you rent them for that though. :D) Oh and the Ring offers a half-day trackticket where you get to drive an R8 (dunno if it's the V10) with a professional tutor and insurance and the car is set up for the ring. How cool is that?

Some people say this will do the Ring in 7:30-40. I think this is possible.

We shoul put that 44.6 time back up there for the 0-300Kmh time that i think either Ab or Sa did.

So? Im from Italy, and when i think of V10 i Always think of the Viper, than the M5 and M6, but its tru that no Dodge will turn heads like a Carrera GT. And when i think of V8's, i always think of Big V8's, Muscle Cars.

I don't like the look of the front of the R8, the lights and the grills below the lights don't look quite right. The overall shape is good though and from the back it's simply stunning - very smart and sporty without being OTT like most supercars.

The GT sounds like an F1 car and the rest just sound like a Ford Mustang, besides the Carrera GT would get more looks any day than some dodge.

It depends in what part of the world you were born. In US the people are more likely to link the V10 with the Viper. I am European and when I think of a V10 engine I instantly connect it with the Gallardo and the CGT... and now with the R8 too

Yeah when people think of a V10, they dont think of F1 cars, they think of the Viper, and cmon, les be real, the Viper was the First TRUE roadcar with a V10, im not saying all are bad, just no car has had such an impact on the V10 engine like the viper. the M5/M6 5.0L V10 is getting quite a rep though.
