Cmon nissan,i hope you dont leave this engine with 330hp. Either turbo this car
or give it at least 400hp. This was your flagship before the gtr so you should
give the car some better credit than just a beefy v6. Everyone will agree!
funny that R&T compared the new 370Z to the old Cayman S not the new more
powerfull version... nice way to let Porsche look bad... compareing a brand new
car to a car that is already replaced..
the 350z is pretty much a poser cayman if you r and ts opinion. if you have
money get the cayman, if you dont get the z. porsche actually takes attention to
driver involvement in a package that even with the replaced cayman was far
superior to the z. the cayman won in every single category besides exterior and
track time (by 0.61).
370z has a base price of $30K ($40k fully loaded) while the cayman has a base
price of 50K ($60K fully loaded)
the nissan z line has always been in competition with the BOXSTER not the
Cayman. people just compare the 370z to the cayman because the 370z is flat-out
better than the boxster
Best performance (new) car for 33 grand. Get the base plus the 3 grand for the
sport package option and thats it. Touring package will make this car not worth
buying and will rack it up to 40 grand.
An S2000 is around a second slower in the 1/4 mile.... straight line the 370Z
should be noticably quicker (the older 350Z was marginally quicker as well).
Round corners they'll be dead even.
You see this is exactly why they should have twin turboed this car in the first
place,to eliminate mediocre SPORTY (not sports cars) to the 370z as i told
NISSAN that the underpowered 370 will not make a splash without shocking the
public with a car that makes a statement as its just another 350z, i mean 370z.
If they turboed this car it would have been close to been compared to the GTR,
but this car will just fade away!!!! This was NISSANs original sportscar and its
just a sportycar, whatever.
if they were to twin-turbocharge the VQ37VHR it it would set the price well over
$45k. and thats not the market nissan is going for. this aint the 90 you cant
just say "hmm lets release a poor emissions twin-turbo sports car lalalalala".
nissan still has to follow japans strict emission laws
