Car and Driver magazine test April 1984 issue. 0-60 mph 5.8 seconds; 0-100 mph 12.7 seconds; 1/4 mile 14.4@108 mph; Braking 70-0 mph 218 feet; skid pad 0.85 g. The curb weight was measured at 2474 lbs. This was done on then new tires and with short gearing which limited top speed to only 144 mph. I hope this eliminates all those estimates. Thanks.

Is there someway to let the estimates not show up?

If someone was crazy enough to do high rpm clutch drop/full gas/no mercy redline acceleration run in this 36 million dollar car and then do equally traumatic emergency stop at 230 kph, this is the data one would end up with (see est. perf figures above)

Off-topic: I know BR2 find it hard to find value in a car costing 1 million, but another luxury item which is even harder to justify would expensive watches and I woul agree that they are a waste of money

HOWEVER there is one watch I saw on a vscause vid called midnight planetarium which shows you the position of the planet and the star maps movement as of currently, all the planets ( up to Saturn) has exact time movement which means mercury will take 88 days to circle the watch and Saturn will take 29 years

Impressive engineering worth the 245k I would say

The E type copy.

User avatar

Fangio Man  11y ago

250 GTO would definitely be my choice.

User avatar

lafars  11y ago

I'd pick a series 1 250 GTO

Interesting fact: 36 series 1 GTOs were built, 3 series 2 GTOs and 4 series 1 were converted to series 2 bodies

User avatar

Shaggy  11y ago

@Super8: I'd choose the Ferrari.

User avatar

Super8  11y ago

I got confuse about my choice. This or Shelby Daytona?

User avatar

Z  11y ago

Please, correct: year of introduction is 1962.
And top speed is 280 km/h. Source: http://www.ferrari.com/English/GT_Sport%20Cars/Classiche/All_Models/Pages/250_GTO.aspx

User avatar

Shaggy  11y ago

@ Flabernat: I totally agree! If I had a Ferrari 250 GTO, you can bet your sweet December I'd drive it, every other day, church, work, grocery shopping, road trips, I'd use it.

User avatar

Flabernat  11y ago

The whole reason we love cars like this is because of how special it is to drive them.
Buying this for 52million to park in a garage completely defeats the purpose of buying a car like this.

User avatar

Shaggy  11y ago

@ BR2+: I have to agree with you, there. no car is worth $52,000,000, I don't car how much of a classic it is. If I buy a car, I'm going to drive it, if it's in running condition but I can't drive it, it's not worth buying, not worth a plug nickel.

User avatar

Hamcee  11y ago

this isnt a car anymore, its just an investment. same as artworks.

it will probably never been driven, but exhibited somewhere and in 10 years going to sell for 60m

User avatar

Fangio Man  11y ago

52.000.000 !?!

Well, as much as I love the car, as much as I love cars. 52.000.000 is a price I would never, will never spend on a car, no matter on which...

User avatar

Piorun  11y ago

Wow, 52 millions
So how much will cost new wipers? 200.000 ?

User avatar

BR2+  11y ago

You know the world has gone to shite when somebody purchases a car for 52Million...

Humans..I swear..I cant stand them.

User avatar

PeterN  12y ago

I saw one of these at Carfest South 2013 (laverstoke park farm) owned by Nick Mason. Apparently he refused £20 million for it!!

User avatar

Bijan  12y ago

@ Fangio Man : yeah , The 917 K .

User avatar

Fangio Man  12y ago

@CoolShirtGuy
You are right, the 917 did the fastest laptime ever to be recorded around Le Mans. Jackie Oliver drove the 13,569 km long circuit, with an average speed of 244,387 kph, in 3:18.4 minutes during a race.
The fastest qualifying laptime was driven by Hans Joachim Stuck in a Porsche 956.

User avatar

Shaggy  12y ago

@ Fangio Man: Not for me, I used to have a Pontiac, it was a turd, I'll never have another one. XO

User avatar

Fangio Man  12y ago

@Shaggy
Must have been a hard decision. ;D

User avatar

Shaggy  12y ago

I'd pick this over a Pontiac GTO any day.

User avatar

Forza Ferrari  12y ago

The best. True Ferrari. Pure GTO.

User avatar

Shaggy  12y ago

@ PeterN: Yeah, I know, BR2' told me. lol

User avatar

PeterN  12y ago

This is defiantly one of the greatest cars in the world. And the Porsche 917 does not go 300mph
