I have one but with better turbo and some more modern engine management etc. The 2 valves per cylinder is a big bummer, but it's a really fun car despite the front wheel setup. LSD is a must but even still the car is more at home as a sporty GT cruiser than a track car. Timeless design and italian flair.

On fastestlaps bring you the best times of the various tests of the car, I
found a better time for the mile to stop, 27.7 sec @ 190.2 km / h. There is also the quarter-mile, 15.2 sec @ 149 km / h. Please update your information.
Greetings

The Gtv V6 TB is faster. The version tested on that magazines are first series also with 16". The series 1999-2001 for others things and with the 17" and also because is possible to fit the original aerokit Alfa, takes 248 kph. Another think: the V6 TBs 1995-2001 has overboost that ingrase the power (about 30hp) over the hps (201/205 dipends the version) declarated (official information) but the overpressure of the turbo is activated by the ecu, pushing the accelator in a certain way (writed on the book of the car) and maybe the tester can't know that.

@italiansdoitbetter
Mr anonymous has discredit himself by showing the 0-1000m time with 27.7s at 190km/h this car isn´t able to do much better 0-200km/h times as 32s.. and I have added the better time, the car was also tested with 33.5s 0-200km/h..BTW the GTV which reached 32.4s 0-200km/h did a better 0-1000m time as quattroroute tested GTV.. the 32.4s 0-200km/h GTV reached 0-1000m 27.6s 1997 auto motor und sport magazine

As long as there is no test which shows a faster time the current time should be kept.

Hi boys. I think like anonymous this car is more fast in 0/200km/h. Don't forget, Georg, this car had an overboost system, it can increase the engine's power to about 230hp for shorts times in ever gear. The nominal power is 200hp because this 230hp are discontinued. Btw 0,5 sec in 0/160is a good difference. Put the quarter of mile time.
Bye :-D
ps you are german?

LOL

you claim 0-160km/h 17.9s there is no big different to 18.4s buy yourself some glasses.. you mix 0-160km/h times to 0-200km/h times...
the car already needs ~28s to get to 190km/h by your own claim... 4.9s to get from 190km/h to 200km/h sounds normal... at that speed no 200hp car accelerats fast..

User avatar

Anonymous  17y ago

theres a big difference between 18.4 and 32.6.. big diffrence and im sure dat 0-200kmh is faster, too bad i didnt time myself..lol

User avatar

Georg  17y ago

and were is your claimed 0-200km/h time? 0-160km/h is nearly the same..

User avatar

Anonymous  17y ago

The best italian's car magazine Quattroruote test the Gtv TB on 7/1995.
These are the times:
0/160 km/h 17,9 sec
0-1000m 27,7 sec on 190,2 km/h
0-400m 15,2 sec on 149 km/h
Bye

User avatar

Georg  17y ago

show me a source backing up your faster claim 32.6s was tested by auto motor und sport. Sportauto the northloop gurus tested it even slower at 33.5s ... thats a normal time for a 200hp/3000lbs FWD car without limited slip dif
