2006 Porsche 997 GT3 RS

I would estimate the 997 gt3 rs to get 1.21.0 at the top gear track and estimate the standard 997 gt3 to get 1.21.1 and i would estimate the new standard 997 gt3 to get 1.20.8 considering a 996 gt3 rs doess 1.22.3

alot of people how test cars get different test resaults.

the GT3 does NOT get to 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds. its 3.8 seconds to 60.

the gt3 rs corner's faster then alot of expesive sport's car's but i am very impressed bye the fact that it get's to 60mph in 3.5sec that's faster than a 911 turbo infact however got the gt3 rs to 60mph in only 3.5sec must be very good.why would you want a 911 carrera it's practical for evry day use and has 4 seat's and is fairly fast but know where near as fast as a gt3 and a gt3 is much more fun to drive in.the gt3 rs is pretty mutch a road legal race car that destroy's any corner at an insane speed.

this 911 997 gt3 rs would probably corner faster than a carrera gt because the 911 997 gt3 rs wieghs only wieghs 3025lbs and is designed for fast cornering on test tracks with sharp corners.Although the 911 997 gt3 rs would not be any where near as fast as a carrera gt on striaghts because the 911 997 gt3 rs only has 415hp and and 300ft of torque the 911 997 gt3 rs only has a flat 6 if some one tested this 911 997 gt3 rs in acceleration i would guess around the late 4secs.the carrera gt is a 5.7LV10 engine with a tremendous 604hp and 435FT of torque if some one tested the carrera gt acceleration they could get to 60mph in the low 3secs.

the 911 997 gt3 rs is a magnificant car their very few cars with a similar price that can compete with an aston martin dbs would not stand a chance against the 911 997 gt3 rs.the 911 997 gt3 rs would not evan drift just allitll if you tryed driving it through a smooth corner as fast as you can. where an aston martin dbs would not do well through corners beacause its to heavy.although the 911 997 gt3 rs would feel smoother through corners

the 996 911 GT3 is faster than a E92, although the M3 is realllly pretty, i love its shape:) i think they ruined it with the sedan:(

Use the "Which is Faster" feature on the website..... top right grey box..... it will give you an unbiased opinion. My biased opinion as an M3 owner and unmoved by the 911 type of guy is that the GT3 will be quicker in nearly every circumstance.

GT3 RS should easily win against an R8..... as should a GT3.

The 997 Carrera S is more of an even match for the R8

hhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm know about the nordschleif nurburgring lap time how did the gt3 rs only get 7.48 and how did the gt3 get 7.42 should nt it be the other way around. how did a normal gt3 do a quicker lap than the lighter gt3 rs. i think you made a mistake hear i think it shoul be that the gt3 rs did 7.42 round the nurburgring and the gt3 would do 7.48 round the nurburgring. because the gt3 rs wieghs only 3025LBS and the normal gt3 wieghs 3069LBS.

Well, the NSX-R in that battle was tuned.

But i agree, that battle was pretty laughable. It was like they where afraid to push the Porsche's.

When they first tested the 997 GT3 on Tsukuba it left the NSX-R for dead.

to let BM even more biased against Porsche..the 997 Carrera with 90hp less and 100kg more weight was tested only .28s slower as the GT3 RS.. do they realy beliver their own shit?

That Tsukuba battle was the most faked race ever... even the late 996 GT3(380hp) walked easy the NSX-R with Gan-san at the GT3 wheel(Fuji)... pretty sure in the right hands the (415hp) GT3 RS is 2-4seconds faster around Tsukuba..even the normal 997 GT3 was already tested a second faster.. typical best motoring style

20 seconds quicker??? i dont think so. i do love your enthusiasm bout this car cause it one of my favs to, but dont go dissin thr gtr..

wow this car is amazing i love it this a track focussed model of the 911 i mean its amazing only 409 hp and its getting faster lap times than the lambo murcielago lp640 around the bedford autodrome east circuit and the bedfordautodrome wet track and i think it could probably cornerquicker than a veyron cause its only 1300 kilos and its not turbo charged like the 911 turbo and the 911 gt2 i think this car is way better than the gtr imean the gtr is a piece of shit its 1700kilos they claimthe gtr lapped the nurburgring in 7.29 porche tested the gtr and they say it cant get 20 secs with in the clamed lap time the 911 gt3 rs is better its only 1300kilos and is more user frendly and has a transmition people can understand i think it could corner alot quicker than the gtr the 911 gt3 claims 7.48 around the nurburgring i think the 911 gt3 could get a time 20secs quicker than that
