Heyhuub 13/09/07, 18:13:19
Thata why i deleted it allready :)

the new bedford west time was done by an ex-F1 driver - thats why it was so much quicker - same with the palmer jag and radical - it's the driver who made the lap

FastestLaps 24/10/07, 15:35:29
Or non-road-legal racing tires?

Anonymous 04/03/08, 14:58:06
Laptime at Bedford has to be wrong. There is no way 996T to be 2 secs faster than ferrari enzo and 4 secs faster than the current 997T. The car also had 450hp and who knows how many other modifications. I think laptimes have to be better filtered and verified before posted

Wads 04/03/08, 16:34:39
The Bedford lap seems quick because it was done on the old slightly shorter config of the track, the current config has a few changes which add around 5 seconds to an average lap.

Anonymous 04/03/08, 18:55:40
Still it has to be deleted. And we are talking about a modified car

Wads 05/03/08, 02:10:54
Where does it mention that the car was modified?

Anonymous 05/03/08, 04:42:05
It mentions it had 450bhp. Look at the reference

Wads 05/03/08, 13:04:33
Could it be possible that the car tested was actually the Turbo S that had 450PS? If so we can just swap the lap time to the Turbo S

Wads 05/03/08, 13:06:00
P.S. if the 450bhp Performance Pack was a Porsche option for the Turbo it could still be considered stock as its not really a modification if its an original Porsche offering.

Anonymous 05/03/08, 13:49:22
There is no way 911T to be 2 secs faster than enzo.No way. Also i cannot consider a car with +30hp stock even if mod comes straight from porsche. A new car has to be created. Also if the course has been changed we have to create a new track and transfer the laptimes there or just delete them

Anonymous 05/03/08, 17:47:54
If it bothers you that much why don't you go ahead and create the new car and ask for the old version of the bedford Autodrome to be added?

PhantomPorsche 05/03/08, 22:41:22
Why dont you believe Porsche would offer a kit that would add 30hp. Porsche now offers the optional Carrera Kit for CarreraS and Carrera 4S that bumps power from 355hp to 381hp thats +26hp. It would be possible for +30hp for 996 Turbo.

Anonymous 06/03/08, 00:34:47
Yes but I think a car with such a mod cant be considered stock

Anonymous 15/08/08, 16:48:36
The car is stock, it is known and badged as the Turbo S direct from the factory. Porsche have offered the both the Turbo and the Turbo S model since the early 930 model days. The 3.3 litre Turbo had 300 bhp in Europe and the Turbo S with a 1 bar wastegate (versus 0.8 bar) and larger intercooler had 330 bhp. The 993 Turbo had 408 bhp in Europe and the Turbo 3 420 bhp. Similarly the 996 Turbo had 420 bhp and the Turbo S 450 bhp. All of these were standard Turbo models. This is of course before we consider yet another standard factoryTurbo model available since the 993 air-cooled days, the GT2. Which has had an even more powerful engine and is also rear wheel drive versus the 4 wheel drive twin turbo models since 993. All of these are stock.

996 turbo had 415 996 turbo s had 444. and there is a difference between the turbo and turbo s.
