0-200km time is 33.8 seconds. that's not good result for such a gti like this.

I've read Sport Auto test of VAG 2,0T compacts, and it went 1:21.4(or 1:21.3,
not sure) on Hockenheim shorttrack, I'm pretty sure it had done 1:21.8 on
another sport auto test. What's this 1:19.6 lap time all about?
Anonymous this 1:19.6min laptime was from a direct sportauto compare to a 2007
Honda Civic Type R in the 4/2007 sportauto magazine. VW changed the tier
supplier early 2007 for the GTI The Bridgestone Potenza RE050A improved the GTI
laptime a lot. I have scanned the laptime sheet for you see here.. http://a779.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/30/l_d17019f4b2e6e

The link doesn't open, but thanks for the info. Funny thing is that now it's
quicker than Edition 30.
I have post the laptimesheet in the Forum in the "wrong technical data"
section... there you can see it!
The Edition 30 was tested by a other sportauto test driver.
GTI was driven by Jochen Übler, GTI Edition by Anja Wassertheuer
0.7s different can have many reasons.. weather, driver, track condition, the
Edition 30 is slightly more heavy
I know the powercar magazine and I can read german as a German. But this test is
not online :( On the the powercar 2/2007 cover which is online you see that they
have a compact class compare in the magazine but the test is not online :(

Comparing its track performance with the Focus ST one, it should be a bit higher
than it is. Maybe the problem relies on INTA's laptime, as it's being compared
with the shorter track on the ST. Nice site by the way.
