I dont think Focus ST has ever got 8:35 on Nordschleife. No matter Supercars.net
or other websites mentioned about Nurburgring, Focus ST can only get 8:51 on
Nordschleife.
I even could not find any information about this 8:35 data on the ref provided.

The Opel Astra OPC is the world record holder in the compact class at
Nordschleife. The Ford ST is not faster than the OPC in any way . Where is the

please change lap time to 8:35, has been widely publicised on practicly every
hot hatch related site, type "ford focus st nurburgring record" or use above
link, the st has less power than the torque steer, sorry, i mean astra vxr, but
sets the same time
I 100% agree that the ST laptime of 8:35 is not on a stock Ford ST. From the
article I read that suspension was upgraded to almost rally specs and it used
aftermark tires. This really is bad that this site shows the time of 8:35 for
modified ST !!!

What *are* you guys going on about? No one's interested in people's "opinions"
on how fast a car can go or what they "read". Do a search for Patrick Bernhard
and Focus ST and there are numerous articles from numerous websites confirming
that the unmodified Focus ST did it in 8:35.

It seems that the article Of Patrick Bernard is the exactly the same article
duplicated on diffrent websites and forums. The oficcial ST laptime was 8:51
back in 2005. The new laptime was done in 2006 with newer software on the ST an
improvement of 16sec.

Omg just look at the lap times on this site for the OPC 05 and ST. You see the
OPC is consistently Faster at Hockenheim Short , Oschersleben , Autozeitung
test track im positive on a longer track like Nordschleife difference will be
much more. That ST time seems fishy to me !!!

The R32 has better specs than the ST 1/4 mile and top speed difference is almost
10km and is 4WD. It only manages a time of 8:49 at Nordschleife. Has far as the
OPC goes its suspension was designed for the Nurgburgring. Hard to believe the
ST did 8:35 something seems wrong here guys. Plus the R32 beat the ST on every
single other track on this site. Weird stuff

I do like the ST but that time is bogus faster than an OPC and R32. I dont think
so. The the quarter mile time of the ST is way off too it usually runs betwen 15
to 15.5 sec quater mile. This site is full of BS and wrong info on many cars.
Shame i though this was a good site with relieable info.
The 8:35 time has a valid reference and has been reported in the motoring press
several times.
Also we only update laptimes or car data when backed by an independant
source..... if the ST can do a 15 sec 1/4 mile just post a link to the data and
we'll update the site.
