| Top gear track lap time reference link is dead.
Also the official site does not have a lap time for RS4. http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/show/powerlaps.shtml

I remember Top Gear testing this car but I do not remember wether they actually
tested it in hands of the Stig. Maybe that RS4 time is for old Audi S4 Avant
which, as far as I remember, also was called Audi RS4.

| i just wish i knew why its listed weight in the US is 3957
lbs.(http://autos.yahoo.com/audi_rs4_sedan-specs/?p=ext) Ive read everything
from them including the sunroof and other heavy options to the US version
getting significantly heavier seats as the reason. I might be getting one if i
cant get my hands on the new Nissan GTR but only if it weighs what the Euro
version does! Anyone have any suggestions?

| This is the dry weight, it's official test weight with FEul and Driver is
1730kg.
And i'll advise you to get the RS4 :)

| i take it you have one Heyhubb? Yeah i was at a light next to a blue one here in
Huntington Beach, California. It sounded AMAZING and looked stellar. I just kept
thinking how sad it was that we can't get the lighter version over here in the
US and it kinda kills my enthusiasm.

I am pretty sure the US weight is a Tippo it is more heavy as the
convertible...impossible... the RS4 is lighter as the new M3.. source BMW M3
brochure with a compare to the main contenders..
The US RS4 has the same seat as the euro version the US does not have the option
for racelike bucket seats... and I am pretty sure that they did not change a
single screwnext to the steering wheel at the handfull US sold RS4

| well the Euro RS4 is listed 5 kg. less than the New Euro M3, but if you read the
fine print in the brochures the rs4's weight says no driver weight included
while the M3 says it does include driver weight. The Euro RS4 does have lighter
bucket seats than the US version, the US version comes standard with a sunroof
and other options not found in euro-spec, and 19 in. wheels as opposed to the
Euro spec's 18's. Ive been looking around the forums at audiworld.com and the
guys there have confirmed this stuff. Its a bummer and the US RS4 is less
hardcore even tho it is a hardcore "RS"

GTR in the BMW brocheur all named weights are Euro rule weights.. curb weight +
driver and fuel ..that US RS4 weight is simple plain BS...
there is no Euro RS4 or US RS4..there is just one RS4 the only different in the
US is not all euro options avaible like race bucket seats.
sportauto weight all cars and their RS4 with FULL option list on 19" rims with
twin glas windows driver and fuel was 1722kg...the RS4 wthout any options on 18"
rims is 1650kg... end of story.

| Ahh that makes sense because 1722kg. = 3796 lbs. then if you add the
approximately 160 lbs. used to include driver and luggage you have the US curb
weight of around 3960 lbs. Is there a way to view Sportauto's site in english?

You can do that only by using Google Translate. www.translate.google.com. Enter required site's URL and
chose German to English and Google will do it for you. However - translation
will be automatic and therefore really bad quality. But it will be good enough
to understand the most.

GTR 1722kg is including driver fuel and luggage.. my thought is that someone
made the mistake to add that 160lbs to a weight number that already includes
that weight

| The best record of Audi RS4 on Nordschleife is only 8:09. According to F.
Stippler he drive the Audi RS4 around the Nürbrugring in 7.58 with P Zero
Corsa. The stock RS4 will never equip with racing tire.

| Otherwise, if racing tire is allowed, please put 7:52 for BMW M5 Nordschleife
record. And I believe lots car can make better lap time with racing tire.

Apro the RS4 is avaible with P Zero corsa from factory like the e46 M3 CSL was
avaible with semi slicks.
The M5 never was avaible with semi slick stock from factory the only BMW avaible
was the M3 CSL... most Porsche times are on semi slicks which are options..

BTW Apro I digged out the sportauto magazine with the RS4 supertest..the car was
running on the same Pirelli P Zero Corsa in 255/35/19. 7:58min > 8:09min the
different between a DTM full prof Audi race driver and a car journalist... same
happend at the Z06... 7:42.9min by race driver 7:49min by sportauto car
journalist... for me it shows that they have excellent drivers at sportauto to
get that close to race driver perfromance!

I have an RS4 Cabrio on loan at the moment (for 5 days)..... so far I have to
say I'm not that impressed! It sounds amazing, looks good and the interior is
very smart but it just doesn't feel as quick as I expected..... the power
delivery is quite linear with no big punch of torque shoving you back in the
seat. Mind you it is the cabrio so very heavy!!!!

The RS4 Cabrio(convertible) is simple too heavy... 420hp can´t do magic if they
have to move a nearly 2to car

| Read the comments, I've got my new B7 RS4 waiting for me at the dealership, and
it is running Pirreli P ero Coras (the one's with P ero in red on the
tyre)...... so I'm not sure if the posts relate to US Spec cars, and les face it
those cars are spec'ed based upon the 'Nanny' state the good old US of A has
become rather than what the rest of the world is driving, lastly, the car is
very very quick, my Dad has a 997 Carrera, has just returned from the Maserati
factory MC12 competition and has driven Tyrell F1 cars back in the day, so is a
fair driver, head to head with him in 'real' world conditions the Audi s just
amazing, the power, the trick 70/30 quattro drive, and the fact you sit a bit
higher up with lots of glass around you meaning you can see out the car beter
mans its a real weapon, all this 0-60, 0-200 etc is jus irrelevant once your on
the road 'having' a go.... plus you can put the kids in the back with the
shopping!
