I am sorry I removed it before I red your comment, Wads. If it said "Autocar
Magazine Handling Day 2005" I would never touch it but "Autocar Magazine" is not
a proper reference.
LOL no problem.... its as good as I could do as its from an old magazine so
theres no online ref available. I'll pop it back on again. If a lap time has
been "approved" by one of the admins does that make it less likely to be
deleted?
The approval system isn't fully/properly implemented so I don't pay any
attention to that. But the idea was to differentiate all laptimes by credibility
- "non-approved" that can be deleted by anyone's request and "approved" that
must not be deleted. If approval system really worked and you approved that M5
laptime I shouldn't consider removing it.
you might remember bmw once offered a 4door sedanversion of the m3 in E36
generation. That was a decade ago unfortunatly It skipped the 4 door In E46
giving rivals audi rs4 mercedes C36 / C55 A good chance to establish a solid
basis in compact performance sedan market.Inevitably,it has to respond with a
new generation m3 sedan.
this m5 dosnt have much torque you know only 384FT of torque come on you have
big 5.0LV10 engine their you need more torque the power is good a nice 500HP.I
like the Idea of a 7 speed transmittion though.I like the design of the lights
the lights on the m5 make it look good this m5 doess 4.4sec from 0-60mph.Thats
impressive for car that wieghs 4066LBS.
13.4, WOW thats terrible slow..lol No Offence, thats the sam as a E39 M5, but
12.4 is from R&T but i have seen tham as fast as 12.0 at 123, but different
sources say different things.
well an e39 m5 doess the qauter mile in 13.1sec and since when doess an e60 m5
do the qauter mile in 13.4 that's not the same as an e39 m5 and it's not all
that bad considering it wiegh's around 4000LB's but I think the 12.4sec qauter
mile time is more beliveble in an e60 m5.the new e60 m5 is more powerfull than
the old e39 m5's 4.9LV8 with 395hp and the e39 m5 is 117LBs lighter than the e60
m5 with a wieght of 4066LBS the older e39 m5 wieghed only 3949LBS.and the
13.1sec qauter mile that was recorded was a good time.they have really improved
the new e60 m5 it doess the qauter mile in only 12.5sec thank's to it's 5.0LV10
producing 500hp that's a tenth of a second faster than the audi R8 doing the
qauter mile in 12.5 sec's.Infact apart from the fact their is a sedan model of
the m3.the m5 is almost the benchmark of all big and powerfull sedan's.
yeah well it's not all that obviuos ya know.but you have to admit the m5 e60
1/4mile time of 12.4 was was impressive the audi rs6 and mercede's-benz e63
still have some work to do.the m3 e90 sedan is better than the m5 e60 the m3 e60
sedan isnt as powerfull as the m5 e60 but the m3 e90 sedan still is lighter and
almost accelerate's as fast and sure doess corner faster it's EVO magazine's
best choice of saloon's (sedan's are called saloon's in eouroupe and the UK)the
m3 e90 sedan easily beats it's main competitor's such as the mercede's-benz c63
amg.Although audi is really starting to give bmw serious intense competition wth
the sedan model of the audi rs6 i have heard about infact the audi rs6 wagon is
crazy enough it's giveing the m3 e90 sedan or evan an m3 e92 coupe a serious
workout.
