other than this, and a handful of other production cars, they still use flat
6's...air cooled until 97, if memory serves....they rock that much.
this car rules.
the Carrera GT is perfect all around the world.. 3th overall place at Viorano
isn´t bad ..
BTW it is in Italy on the same track faster as a Enzo the car of the same time
and the Carrera GT´s main rival!

Vairano Race Track was modified after Carrera GT was tested, becoming 2" faster
than the previous configuration. So Carrera GT is faster than Superleggera,
599GTB and all the other cars has been tested on the new and faster track
configuration.

yes, Vairano track was modified, so lap times are not totally comparable.
furthermore Gallardo set 1.16.1 with Alain Prost and with Corsa tyres.
There's no way for Lamborghini to be faster than Carrera Gt.
Even in other track there's some confusion with lap times.
Bedford lap, for example, is set usually with all chichane, but sometimes one is
skipped, so time are about 7 second faster.
Or do you really think 996 turbo is faster than Carrera GT??

The main rival of Carreta Gt are Maserati MC12...

it set new benchmark in handling and slalom tests without useing semi slicks.
The most exotic and fastest road going Porsche ever made. I love this car! the
engine sounds very very good! In my opinion the CGT is the best, more than the
ugly Enzo and the beauty LP 640.
I love the Carrera GT, its my favorite car in the world but Porsche is getting
left in the dust. Where is the super exotic car with 700+ hp, they need one, and
the rumors of a 900+ hp GT1, where is all that?
It looks fantastic and it goes like it looks. Of of the fastest modern
supercars. Not to mention the engine sound.
