2003 Porsche Carrera GT

The replacement for this car is the 918 Spyder, just look at them, you can see the evolution.

Is this replacement called the GT1. Because I looked up photos and it doesn't seem to be in production. I still waiting on the awesome 918 Spyder hybrid. Looks insane.

its the best sounding modern car for sure. No Ferrari,Lambo,Gumpert etc can beat that sound, Pagani Zonda comes close to it but still different. Its like an F1 car, the only vintage car i like even more is probably the Audi 5 Cylinder Turbo sound of the old Quattros

as a porsche fanatic for over 20yrs, and now the owner of a 911 carerra, it disappoints me that the carerra gt isnt all that it could have been. it has the makings of not just a great hyper car, but that of THE GREATEST EVER! yet, they chose to serve it half-done! this has been much to the dismay of drooling fans world-wide. imagine this - 650Hp instead of 612, 1300kg instead of 1385, imagine 0-60mph in 3.2 instead of 3.6, imagine 225mph instead of 208. Yes, maintain and retain all the traditional Porsche heritage and flavour, but make it the definitive, the epitome, the name synonymous with the BEST performing supercar ever made! soon supercars will be a thing of the past, and the carerra gt was the last of the breed one feels, so really, they should've threw the kitchen sink at it!!its a massively competent car,but it's not the beast it was born to be.

hopefully with VW at the controlls Porsche does two things... offering again light payable sportcoupes in tradition of 356, 914, 924,944, 968... and stop the politic that nothing in their own range is allowed to outperforme the 911...
They should reduce the SUV production...because they are all based on the same platfrom and build in the same VW chassie plant it does not matter much if Volkswagen sell them as VW Audi or Porsche... the Touareg and Q7 are ok to look at but the Cayenne is simple utterly ugly and ruins in my eyes completely the sport heritage of Porsche..

The rumor was a street legal version of the Spyder RS racecar but I think those rumors died. They'll do something eventually but it is too early to tell with all of the financial up and down.

no it doesn't

My guess is that it doesn't. But it has pretty strong clutch and linear engine (non turbo) to start with so there is little need for launch control.

A useless car. It's just for the race track. You can't travel through the country roads on it. I just wonder how certain manufacturers make such cars that cost too much but return less value.
