Yeah, i could agree with what you are saying, the Aero deserves to have alot more credit that its getting. i think people are nay saying because it comes from anuknown company that no one has ever herd of. id take an Aero over a Ron anyday, plainly because i like its engine better and it looks alot better, and is funner to drive, and i here its more comfortable too. but yet, the Aero deserves more credit.

How about those 2 testing the fastest production car on the planet? the SSC ULTIMATE AERO? seems to me that the entire motoring world made a huge stink about the buggati veyron, and the SSC is faster, cheaper, has a smaller engine that produces more hp and is SAWEET looking compared to the ugly ass veyron, yet no one gives it it's due.. Top gear mentioned it for 5 seconds like 2 seasons ago, and said it basically wasn't any good without even testing it.. I love how europeans achieve something and it's amazing and over technological, yet america beats that mark without breaking a sweat, and it's crap. Go SSC!! (i bet it smokes the GTR's Lap time as well.

I would love to see how the 135i does on their track. And double on the Cadalliac CTS-V, but I doubt we'll see it.

yeah and look how much more that c class costs.

he does love almost every ford (focus, fiesta, mondeo, gt) but then again some of them are u.k. only. one more thing why is it a bad thing that clarkson liked a fast car? what if he liked a car because it was good? he didnt just love the speed he loved how it came with practicality and the proper gearbox and simplicity of the computers that you wouldnt really find in a european supercar. there is the 911, but the engine is in the "wrong" place so really he would probably choose the chevy above almost any of the super high priced exotics from europe. in my opinion a lot of european cars are better anyway. go to germany and compare how a c class is built compared to any 30k american sedan.

I've already said that clarkson should be fired. Although he likes the C6 ZR1, he was forced to by it's performance.

why didnt they race it against the Aero and CCX? the CCX was thefastest After the F1, and now the SSC is the fastest, so why not? i understand the F1 has held that title for a very long time, but i would liked to se the Veyron vs the SSC, that would have beneven better.

Top Gear magazine confirmed that Hammond screwed the Veyron launch and to keep it closer they didn't use launch control..... with a good launch in both cars the Veyron would have walked away from the F1.

Well actually I think its not that at all. Clarkson never liked the F1 but loves the Veyron. Hammond just loves Porsche's, I don't see much UK bias from those three to be honest. I think it's just a case of the Stig being a pro driver and getting a great start ahead of Hammond who is just a keen amateur. If you swapped drivers, the Veyron would have got off much quicker. Havent you noticed how the cars raced by Captain slow always come last - he just ain't got it as a getaway driver!

personally, i think top gear rigged the veyron vs f1 race, just because the f1 is british, and you know how biased they can be of there home countrys cars, thats just what i think. the f is Alot lighter, but the ron has years of technology and 374bhp More, and with launch control With 4wd, yet the ron lost damn near through that whole stint? dont believe that for a minute.

I've watched every episode of Top Gear since 2003 and they have never shown a Veyron beat a Mac 1 to 200MPH. This is just one of those hypothetical races someone dreamed up based on proported acceleration times! The MCLaren would not lose a race to 200MPH if it started at 120MPH! As BUMRUsh says, the Veyron has been timed at about 23 secs to 200MPH. the MC F1 took 18.8 secs to go from 120 to 200MPH in the 1994 Autocar Road test, so there!!

no top gear said that and showed it lol. remember how when testing the dbs jeremy said the vanquish was more powerful and then they showed one pulling ahead? of course the dbs is faster in the straights they just really want us to believe something. in that case they were trying to hide any evidence it was a vanquish replacement so he could say it was a db9 evo lol.

i Kinda find it Just a lil hard to believe the Veyron beats it to 200mph if they let the F1 get to 120mph. and the Veyrons from a stand still?. the Ron gets to 200mph in 23s and the F1 does the same in 28s. i dont suppose you have a video/link???

lol did u see the preview? the f1 starts pulling away (either staged or jumped lol) and hammond in the veyron is hardly restraining himself from blurting out wtf on camera. funny how top gear also showed a "real" drag race where the f1 got a 120 mph head start and still lost to 200. everything but the stigs laps on that show is exactly what top gear wants the people to think lol.

a Drag Race between the Veyron and the F1!! yeah im pretty sure we ALL no the outcome between those 2..lol what i wanna see is the a drag between the Veyron,GTR720,CCX,Caparo,SSC,now that sound more thrilling, of cosre i highly doubt it, but theres always dreaming:(

good news everyone! there is a drag between f1 and veyron, and the focus rs, megane, r8 v10, scirocco, zr1, and sl65 black were all on the track.

Im betting th S7 TT could take the 650bhp version, dont know bout the 700bhp version. but the S7 doesnt exactly handle bad, remember, the S7 was ment to be a Race Car first than a Road Car and with that slalom speed and its handling and cornering G's and its huge amounts of downforce, i really think that car could beat damn near every car out there, given ya gots someone who knows how to handle the car, but again is Fifth Gear so i think they will manage:). and the ZR1 prolly wont take it, but im sure it will stay very close with it, same with the ACR round that particular track. and as for the Mosler, the MT900S will not beat it, 435bhp just aint enuff powa, but i beleve the MT900 GTR can beat it!!! 600bhp and 400lbs lighter than the Gumpert and more downforce and better aerodynamics. so i say the GTR can beat it, ACR and ZR1 wont, but the S&...hard to say since there arent any track times. but if they dont test those cars, id say the Gumpert will be up there a very long time.
