Car #1000 and Fastestlaps.com logo |

 It has happened! Fastestlaps.com has just received it's 1000th car. And it happened to be Lotus Exige S Performance-Pack , submitted by Heyhuub. (The same Heyhuub who submitted car #100 two months after fastestlaps.com went on-line in December 2006.)
I have to admit - many of these 1000 cars don't really have to be featured in this website (one-off prototypes, kit-cars) but anyone should agree that 1000th car is a milestone. So is the fact that this website now has more than 2 thousand lap times for these 1000 street cars.
Now let's talk about logo. Some time ago realized that Fastestlaps.com requires a better, more recognizable and more unique logo. I already have several unclear visions of how this new logo could look like (involving clocks, tachometer needles and other weird shapes) but I would be very happy if anyone could pitch me some of their own ideas, visions or even better - complete prototypes (since I am practically disabled when it comes to creating computer graphics). It's interesting to see changes in Fastestlaps.com car ranking. After this
latest addition of 11 lap times, we can see that Carrera GT fights off
Lamborghini Gallardo SL to return in second place while still losing to Corvette
C6 Z06. 10th place in ranking and last spot for Hall of Fame page now belongs to
Porsche GT2 (thanks to 18 points it gained for 3rd place in Bedford). Audi R8 is
out of Top10 and Porsche now have 5 cars in Hall of Fame!
I've got some lap times for a few cars that haven't been added to the database
yet..... does anyone fancy adding the following.... Caterham R500 (2008), Ariel
Atom 3 (2008), Brooke Double R, Gumpert Apollo S and the Renault Clio Trophy
(last shape not the current version)
Does it have to be a computer pic. Or can you draw one on paper and email it.
