Bugatti planning a record-braking super-sportscar. |

 According to German magazine "Auto Motor und Sport", Bugatti have plans to develop a new super-sportscar that's going to be much faster than already reasonably quick Bugatti Veyron.
"Project Lydia" (named after Ettore Bugatti's wife Lydia) is the codename for this ambitious project and, according to sources, this new Bugatti will be even more powerful and much lighter than Veyron.
Performance figures are even more astonishing than the very idea of something beeing faster than Veyron itself. They say the power output of W16 quad-turbo engine will be raised to 1,175 hp and the overall mass of the car will be reduced to just 1,5 tonnes. And if that's not impressive enough, get this - sources indicate that VW with this new "Project Lydia" car is going to set a new production car speed record in Nordschleife and the target time is 6 minutes and 40 seconds! 15 seconds faster than current record holder Radical SR8 and a whole minute faster than simulated lap time for Bugatti Veyron.
According to "Auto Motor und Sport", this Bugatti sportscar will be ready for public introduction some time between 2009 and 2010. Price will be 2.5 million US dollars and VW will only make 70 of these pricey beasts. |

| When will people understand that the Radical is not a real car!
Sure it may be street legal(only in UK), but do you really see yourself, or
anyone else for that matter, driving up in one of these to say the supermarket
or movie theater?
It is only a track car, as no one would ever drive it anywhere else.
Not trying to take away from it's lap time which is really fast, but it can't be
condsidered a road car. |

| I do not believe it will be able to go faster than the Radical. The radical is
pure track car designed weighing one tone less than the Lydia. What it lacks in
power it makes up for in downforce and light weight. Again VW builds an
overpriced car they call a Bugatti. And some retards will pay for it. |

| Another showcar from Bugatti. Great. But keep in mind with unlimited amount of
credits any company can built something better than this. When I think of cars
with no soul the Bugatti Veyron is the first that comes to my mind. And its
ugly... I would take any $50k car over this anytime unless I can sell it and buy
many $50k cars of course.... |
