New track - "Contidrom" |

Fastestlaps.com now has one more track with 20 lap times. Track itself is located near Hannover (Germany) and Contidrom is German tire maker's "Continental" main test track. Opened in 1967, it consisted initially of the high-speed oval circuit with two straight measuring tracks. With time more tracks have been added to meet the increasing demands made on tyres.
Located north of Hanover in the Luneburg Heath, the Contidrom first went into operation in 1967. It has been expanded since then and now offers a wide range of the latest test methods, allowing for trials that would be impossible under normal traffic conditions. What's more, it gives the testing teams of various car magazines the opportunity to "experience" reproducible results on a regular basis. At one point in the expansion of the original facility, a dry handling track was added. Here this characteristic can be assessed at cornering speeds as high as 160 km/h. The Contidrom also has courses for testing chassis elements and possibilities for testing product characteristics on wet roads. (Continental-Online)

| Ovals are NOT race tracks.
If you put an oval in the same collection with Nordschleife is like mixing Le
Mans with NASCAR.
